This rain 04:44
As I walk, long through the wilderness to my home And this rain, keeps falling down where I walk I know to keep moving forward is my course But this rain, keeps falling down where I walk. Each step I take leads me to your door And each heart beat made with you is my reward. I can see, the distant light of my window But this rain, keeps falling down where I walk My home, offers me love and protection From this rain, that keeps falling down where I walk. Each step I take leads me to the door And each heart beat made with you is my reward.

I wander tonight through the dark Stereo light pulls apart Purpose made designs and solutions With glittering light pollution My eyes don't forget on the damage that's done As my skin warms from this morning sun. It's breaking its way through the world Sanitised and purged every single pearl From clockwork emotions and jellybean smiles I kill em with daggers from remote controlled eyes Are we counting the loss of zeros and ones Packing a hamper while loading the guns Breaking the mold before we were born Sympathetic drones hover overlord Dictate the terms of an uneasy truth Splattered in dog shit and fine French vermouth Shaken on ice for your finest cocktail As we hammer in Christs final nail Breathing in fire that's 20 below Walking on glass melting like snow With tyranny catchphrase and tossed salad lies Beautiful memories are wiped from my mind Are we counting the cost? Of everything exquisitely lost..... ©craigwestwood

Skin 03:12
And when I wake, I dust off myself and pull on this skin that people think is my all of everything about me. That I even know, I'm caught in this under tow that's pulling my feet down below, to the deep. What waits there for me? Darkness is all that I see. And if you go to the valley below, its no longer green and now dust only blows through my heart, that once held a place. For those who sing for the dead, those who sing for the dead. Again I wake and dust off myself, I pull on this skin that people think is my all of everything about me. That I even know, I'm caught in this under tow is pulling my feet down below to the deep. But what waits there for me? When darkness is all that I see. When darkness is all that I see.

How my heart breaks tonight Birds don't sing, no longer seen in flight and now they're gone Ohhh now they're gone How my heart breaks tonight Trees all felled no longer seen in sight and now they're gone Ohhh now they're gone Ohhh now they're gone

He aches into a late starting day One that he's known well before. There's a shape of his body laying broken on the floor From last nights re-entry He's dazed in a blissful malaise How can a sun dial not turn down the ray Breaking through his windows way That reminds him of this life that he's chosen Dragging his feet across the floor 3 day old fuck stains and blood on the wall Yet determined of a crime scene at all And he knows that he'll justify all Have another beer till he finds out what for Until that day arrives he'll just wallow in this grotesque splendor And the days are long gone, long gone before it got to this Long before that bottle sweet kiss Tore a pain deep inside, a pain deep inside So pour another bottle of poison Light another nail in the coffin Cause a hundred years from now We're all dead and clean forgotten So pour another bottle of poison Light another nail in the coffin Cause a hundred years from now We're all dead, clean forgotten

Take a page from my past and never forget that my notions of justice all failed. I had hope for the best but that all turned to destruction .....and other forms of mayhem. As I sit with a glass I struggle to count all the portions from hours that pass. The unfortunate truth is I prefer to drink alone. Am I lost, am I found am I counting, each time I fall from a mountain I enlist then I find that I'm routing from time ever surmounting. Take a page from my past, never forget that my attempts at redemption all failed. I had hope for the best but that all turned to destruction. ......my destruction.

On a Saturday night by the overpass the overpass young girls are making things right. And every Saturday night by the overpass they drove real fast in cars they stole that night. Woah you got to learn to fight and you got to know what's right You know that you can't tell in this belly of hell to pick up a switch blade knife. And you'll run far away, run far away to the ones you love And you'll run far away, run far away from here. Woah you got to learn to fight you got to know what's right You know that you can't tell in this belly of hell to pick up a switch blade knife. On a Saturday night by the overpass the overpass young girls are making things right. And on a Saturday night by the overpass they play real fast with hearts they broke that night. Woah you got to learn to fight and you got to know what's right You know that you can't tell in this belly of hell to pick up a switch blade knife. Run far away, run far away to the ones you love And you'll run far away, run far away from here. And you'll run far away, run far away to the ones you love And you'll run far away, run far away from here. run far away from here, run far away from here, run far away from here.

You and I know that we could do better And we know it means a new start We' have seen some stormy weather But in time, in time we will part. We had notions of forever With our eyes towards the stars We sought deepest ocean treasure But in time, in time we will part And does time travel slow when viewed from a distance Does knowledge become pointless without wisdom And I hear you call my name from a different space in time Where we once fell together, fell together. You and I know that we could do better And we know it means a new start We' have seen stormy weather But in time, in time we would part.

Seeking out a living that never leaves the shade I've been parking down a back street that never sees the day of me holding down commitment I can never seem to trade for a pocket full of promise that just seems to fade away and I know I can't hold this thing down Eternity has seen life living as a ghost I contemplate the meaning on the signs of faded hope as I scan along the edge of a long eroding coast that will haunt me Picking up the pieces becomes regular fair I step out to the world and I pretend to even care of concerns don't really matter I don't even stop or stare Of the blood that I've been letting just covers everywhere and I know I can't hold this thing down Eternity has seen life living as a ghost I contemplate the meaning on the signs of faded hope as I scan along the edge of a long eroded coast that still haunts me Eternity has seen life living as a ghost contemplate the meaning on the signs of faded hope as I scan along the edge of a long eroded coast that condemns me.

Do you wander alone by the banks of your home where the water of this river runs ever so wildly. And you now see the light from the mornings first fight with the darkness that's always surrounding. In time, daylight will shine. Lost and alone, so far from home that the planets and the stars in the sky are misleading. And you're rolling old stones and digging up holes to old worlds that once held some meaning. Underground, where secrets are found. So don't leave me stranded alone, on an island that's barren and no trees have grown. No food to sustain me or leaves there to shade me from the sun that burns me below. So don't leave me stranded alone, on an island that's barren and no trees have grown. No food to sustain me or leaves there to shade me from this sun that burns me below.

Walk to the mountain, you start by the sea With the heavens above you to guide where you'll be No signs direct you, aimless and free Just the heavens above you, to guide where you'll be And although you fall down, pick yourself up off the ground And though you have found, the time it took to get you to the top is not the same to descend. We travel down familiar roads again, again We travel down familiar roads again, and again But each time, stop by to see old friends.

I walk these dirty streets in these worn out shoes No I won't ever cry, as I'm walking out on you Those words you said to me are all over used and I won't ever cry cause I'm walking out on you once more. So many night pass before, when your arms kept me warm through heavy rain and storm Holidays in the sun, where we would laugh and we would run swimming in the sea oh to be Then there came that day, when death came rockin from a Wuhan way We'd never be the same. All our towers fell while we were locked up in each others hell Climbing up the wall I know life can get to serious I keep I'm running back to you I keep running back to you That's why I walk these dirty streets in these worn out shoes I won't ever cry, cause I'm walking out on you Those words you said to me weren't so over used No I won't ever cry cause I'm walking back to you Yes I'm walking back to you, yes I'm walking back to you once more.

about

Some shite songs written between 2007 and 2022 but mostly over 2020 to 22.

I released this album in its current unfinished state because circumstance did not allow me time to finish it as I had hoped. I guess this is more about documenting the songs so that I wouldn't forget them after spending so much time writing them.
